In general you want to purchase a new computer for a reasonable amount, which is typically under $600. If you purchase a $1,000 or $2,000 machine, you are over- buying. That same machine in a year or so might sell for $600, you could have purchased two or three machines instead. Certain Brands also sell a cheaper computer, but then over-charge you for replacement parts. These brands do not allow you to use Generic less expensive parts. For serious game playing very special parts and cooling is needed. You can purchase from a large retail chain store and maybe save a few dollars but you might discover that their technical support is not very helpful.
